Every year 300 babies are born in the Chester area needing the expert support of the Special Care Baby Unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital. Research demonstrates that these sick and premature babies can have their chances of survival and long term development substantially improved if fed with breast milk. Cheshire and North Wales Human Milk Bank collects and processes breast milk for these poorly children. |
